Q. What is my vanity top made of?
A.
Your vanity top is made of a number of things. First you start with a gel-coated mold filled with combined elements of polyester resin, then add pulverized limestone, catalyst (hardener), some pigments for correct color and either hand made or machine veining for marbleized effect and in no time you have a vanity top. The process continues by personnel grinding and polishing to get the final product that ends up in your home.

Q. What products can I clean my vanity top with?
A.
Good Question, the best things to clean cultured marble are glass cleaner, fantastic, foaming cleaner, but no abrasives. Now every couple of months you can give your tops a lite coat of turtle wax or any car polish that has no compounds in it.

Q. What is my soaker tub or jetted tub made of?
A.
Most Jacuzzi and Kohler brand soaker tubs or jetted tub are made from acrylic with a reinforced backing of resin and fiberglass strands for strength, of course the corners and edges have fiberboard blocks for added strength. Great deals of other brands use either acrylic or gel-coat/fiberglass combination.

Q. What is my hall or guest bath tubs made of?
A.
Most tub/shower units are manufactured of gel-coated molds with polyester resin and fiberglass strands layered to give strength to the whole structure, along with fiber blocks at stress points for added strength. Now there are other tubs made from composite materials that are injected into molds to form a pre-cast tub.

Q. What is my shower stall or shower pan made of?
A.
Most shower stalls like tub/shower units are made from a gel-coated mold that is reinforced with resin and fiberglass backing with fiber blocks at stress points to give strength. Some shower pans are made from cultured marble, gel-coated fiberglass or injection molded composite.

Q. Is the repair permanent or will it have to be redone every so often?
A.
We have gone to great lengths to use the finest of materials to make our repairs last a very long time. In most cases we are looking at a life time.

Q. How long should I wait before using my tub, shower, or vanity top?
A.
In most cases unless the repair was done to the bottom of the unit you can use them within an hour or two after repairs are completed.

Q. How long after the repair is completed can I use cleaning products on the repaired area?
A.
We ask that you wait 48-72 hours before using cleaning products on repaired areas. Take note that abrasive cleaners should not be used to clean any part of your bath tubs, shower stalls or cultured marble products. It may seem odd but, staining is usually due to minerals or chemicals in your water and if they appear it is recommended you have your water tested.

Q. Does Parkers Enterprises do only warranty work for builders?
A.
No, we will do repair work for anyone that require our services. I believe that quality work using the best materials should be available to everyone.
